She made the remarks here on Tuesday after visiting a water treatment plant in central Tehran.
She said her country possessed valuable experiences in desalting sea waters and setting up water treatment plants.
She further praised the quite advanced and modern water treatment systems being used in Tehran.
She said the water treatment system in Netherlands never use chlorides which makes it quite different from the systems in Iran.
On Sunday, Geesteranus signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on water and energy with Iran.
Given the valuable experiences and technologies of the Netherlands in the field of water, Iran’s Minister of Energy Hamid Chitchian called on the Dutch companies to bid for the tenders Iran has declared.
Around 3,000 Iranian experts have passed training courses on water management in the Netherlands educational institutes last year upon an agreement signed between UNESCO and International Hydrological Program.
